Among the numerous visitors on campus for Virginia Tech's season opener was talented 2025 DB Sheldon Robinson out of in-state Woodberry Forest School. His visit to Blacksburg went quite well as he shared with us.

"It was amazing! Great atmosphere and great game!" Robinson said.

He added this on what made it an amazing visit for him.

"The atmosphere and how into the game the fans were," Robinson said.

He also had more praise for the gameday environment at Lane Stadium when asked further about what was unique to him about this visit.

"The game day atmosphere is better than a lot of schools I have been to," Robinson said.

Robinson has built up a solid offer list so far with offers from Virginia Tech, Duke, Wake Forest, UVA, and Buffalo. That shouldn't come as a surprise given his size at 6'2'' along with the fact that he's producing at a high level at the high school level with 7 tackles and an interception in his season opener.

Looking ahead, Robinson told us that he is looking to take visits to a few different schools this fall including Duke and Wake Forest. Additionally, Robinson seems bound to earn more offers especially if he continues to perform at the high level he played at in Woodberry Forest's season opener.

So how did this visit impact his recruitment and where Virginia Tech stands in it?

"This visit helped me realize what playing at Lane Stadium would be like. I would definitely want to play in an atmosphere like that in the future. They are definitely high in my list," Robinson said.

Virginia Tech is in a good spot currently for 2025 DB Sheldon Robinson who could be an important of VT's secondary class in the upcoming cycle.
