The Virginia Tech Hokies' coaching staff has been busy getting out on the road and visiting high school recruit all across their footprint, extending new offers in the process. That included a new offer being extended to 2026 RB Chase Enlow, a 5'10'' 190-pound standout out of Freehold, NJ.

Enlow had this to say about his reaction to receiving an offer from the Hokies.

"I was fired up. Knowing all my hard work is paying off feels great. I am going to stay humble and continue to work hard everyday," Enlow said.

This came a day after RBs coach Elijah Brooks visited his school with Enlow calling Brooks the next day during which he received the offer. Enlow had this to say about how that conversation was as a whole.

"It was good, The conversation wasn’t very long so we just spoke about some personal life things and what he liked about me as a running back," Enlow said.

Enlow has built up a solid offer list so far that includes the Hokies, West Virginia, Duke, Illinois, Rutgers, Boston College, Virginia, Temple, and Charlotte. It shouldn't come as a surprise given the production and efficiency Enlow showed as a complete running back this past season.

Enlow made the most of his touches during his sophomore season with 58 carries for 527 rushing yards and six rushing touchdowns plus 233 receiving yards. What's more impressive is the fact that he averaged 9.1 yards per carry and 15.5 yards per reception.

That's the type of efficient production that you want to see from a younger running back. The versatility he's shown as a receiver is also a plus for a Tech offense that likes using their running backs in multiple ways.

So with that said, how did this offer impact his recruitment and where the Hokies stand in it?

"It’s a big deal," Enlow said. "I don’t know how much it’ll impact my recruitment but whether it does or not, I will continue to get better as a player. It’s still early in my recruitment so it is hard to tell where any schools stand in my recruitment, but I am excited to build relationships with the VT staff."

He also added this on what his current view of Virginia Tech is.

"I think VT is great school not only for football but academics as well. I am excited to see the Hokies this season, and they are on their way to something special," Enlow said.

The focus may be on the 2025 class for now, but Chase Enlow will be a RB recruit to monitor for the Hokies in the 2026 class.
