In addition to hosting top Class of 2027 targets on official visits the past few weeks, Virginia Tech has also been busy hosting plenty of other recruits who are either looking to earn an offer or some who already have one who are in future classes. One of those visitors was Class of 2028 four-star LB Jay Schell out of Rabun Gap, GA.
Schell is already considered one of the best linebackers in the 2028 class with ESPN ranking him as the second best inside linebacker, Rivals ranking him as the ninth best linebacker, and 247 Sports ranking him as the 23rd best linebacker. He also is ranked among the top 25 recruits in Georgia for the 2028 class.
The four-star linebacker was quite impressed with his recent trip to Blacksburg to spend time with the staff and show off his skills at a camp as he shared.
"It was awesome. I love what they are building in Blacksburg," Schell said.
He added this on what made this an awesome visit for him.
