Shifting to Mike essentially places the defense in Chambers' hands. Wearing the green dot on the back of his helmet that symbolizes his ability to receive play calls from the coaching staff means that he's now responsible for ensuring that all 11 players are on the same page, understand their assignments, and make adjustments as necessary at the line of scrimmage before the ball is snapped. It's a big responsibility, one that Chambers does not take lightly.
"It's really just how bad you want it," he said. "Coming in, I knew I was going to have a chance to really play, like really play from the jump, from the get-go this year. So just having that want to. And I'm just ready to go. I'm eager to just make that play. I'm excited to go sideline to sideline."
