Virginia Tech is 3-0 for the first time since 2017 after the Hokies picked up their first non-conference victory since a 2017 win over West Virginia via a 35-26 victory at Maryland Saturday night. Tech was the better team for most of the game, though Maryland did make things more interesting than VT would have liked after the Hokies claimed a 21-point lead midway through the third quarter.
With that said, here are my takeaways from the Hokies' victory on the road at Maryland.
