Virginia Tech has been busy sending out new offers over the past few weeks with one of those going to 2028 three-star TE Wright Martin out of Nashville, who received it during a camp visit to Virginia Tech in June. The 6'2'', 245-pound Martin was quite excited about his offer as he shared.
"It was cool talking to (head) coach (James) Franklin and just seeing the success he has had over the years and all the history at VT," Martin said.
The offer came during a meeting with head coach James Franklin in his office, a conversation that was "great" as Martin told me. Virginia Tech now joins an offer list that also includes Georgia, Ohio State, SMU, Virginia, Arkansas, Maryland, Purdue, and others. He is currently ranked as the 20th best tight end in the Class of 2028 by 247 Sports and 21st best by Rivals.
His visit to Blacksburg overall went well as he shared.
"It was good I really liked Blacksburg and all the coaches we met. I also met some of the current players," Martin said.
He added this on what made this a good visit for him.
