After 2018 was a down year in the state of Virginia, 2019 is a much better year for talent in the Commonwealth especially in the 757. That includes high three-star DL Adarious Jones who has seen his offer list and interest grow since he transferred to Bishop Sullivan before last season. Jones visited Virginia Tech for their Junior Day and that visit went well according to him. Adarious Jones told us that his visit to Blacksburg was "good" and that this visit showed how he was a priority for the Hokies. Jones told us that he "liked when they showed us the progress of a couple of players. The before and after pictures just showed how much their body's changed. It was cool to see that." Virginia Tech continues to recruit Jones the hardest while Jones has the best relationship with Charley Wiles among collegiate coaches. Jones told us that his relationship with Wiles stands out because he loves how Wiles "keeps everything 100." Adarious Jones is ranked as the tenth best recruit in the Commonwealth by the 247 Sports Composite and Rivals. Rivals currently has Jones ranked as the 18th best DT while the 247 Sports Composite ranks him as the 33rd best strongside DE. Jones has four offers from Virginia Tech, Wake Forest, Rutgers, and Florida Atlantic. We continue to stand by our prediction of Jones to VT as the Hokies have become larger favorites for him after this visit. VT appeared to improve their standing more on this visit while the Hokies continue to be the school that recruits Jones the hardest. On top of that, Jones's great relationship with Charley Wiles is a big reason why VT continues to be the favorites in his recruitment.
