For well over the past year, Hokie fans who follow recruiting have been hearing about Dax Hollifield. The four-star linebacker from Shelby, North Carolina has been one of Virginia Tech's top overall targets in the 2019 class since the day VT offered him.
Now, Hollifield is ready to make his decision on National Signing Day.
Dax Hollifield announced that Virginia Tech, North Carolina, Clemson, and Stanford are his four finalists. Hollifield will announce his collegiate decision on February 7th, National Signing Day.
If you've followed Hollifield's recruitment, you won't be surprised at all by his four finalists. Stanford has faded significantly in the past week or so and appears to be the long shot while the Tigers and Tar Heels are contenders. However, the Hokies continue to be the favorite as they have been for most of the past year.
For now, we continue to stand by our prediction of Hollifield to Virginia Tech. Hollifield has made plenty of visits to Blacksburg over the past year while Hollifield and Bud Foster have a very strong relationship. That relationship is a big advantage for VT and the biggest reason why I like the Hokies over the field.
Dax Hollifield's recruitment has also come to a conclusion with Hollifield set to make one school very happy on Wednesday.
