Virginia Tech pulled off its first major recruiting flip of the Class of 2027 cycle as four-star LB Amarri Irvin from Florida’s IMG Academy flipped his commitment from Notre Dame to the Hokies.
Irvin is the first linebacker commit for the Hokies this cycle and the second commit from a Florida high school along with three-star ATH Turmarian Moreland Jr. Irvin holds offers from numerous major programs including VT, Notre Dame, Georgia, Ohio State, Michigan, Alabama, Oregon, Tennessee, Ole Miss, Florida, Nebraska, Florida State, and others.
This is a major recruiting victory for the Hokies to flip a player who had been committed to a high-level program like Notre Dame and who plays for one of America’s best high school programs in IMG.
