Hokies QB Commit Dylan Wittke Recaps Latest Virginia Tech Visit

Dylan Wittke VT Official June 10 Weekend

After taking an official visit on the second weekend of June, Hokies QB commit Dylan Wittke made a return trip to Blacksburg this weekend both to recruit more uncommitted recruits himself along with bond with some of the other Virginia Tech commits.

His second trip to Blacksburg this month went well as he shared with us.

"It’s was good. I really got to spend some quality time with my future teammates and got to help recruit some of the other prospects," Wittke said.

One of his highlights was his time bonding with his fellow 2023 VT commits as he shared with us.

"It’s was really cool getting to hear more about where everyone is from and why they chose VT," Wittke said.

One of the most important bonds is always between a quarterback and his offensive linemen with multiple VT OL commits taking official visits this past weekend in Layth Ghannam and Lance Williams. That time was a valuable start for Wittke in building those important relationships as he discussed with us.

"Well I believe as a team, everyone should be close like a family but especially a QB and lineman relationship needs to be very close so getting to know those guys and hanging out with them the past two days really helped us build our relationship and will help continue to build once we are on campus," Wittke said.

In addition to bonding with current VT commits, he was recruiting the uncommitted players there with a greater focus on two of the offensive standouts: WR Chris Culliver and RB Durell Robinson.

He had this to say about what his message was for the uncommitted recruits.

"It was really just showing them how much Coach (Brent) Pry is putting in and how he’s going to get this place going," Wittke said.

He also spent plenty of time with Tech coaches including offensive coordinator Tyler Bowen and QBs coach Brad Glenn.

Wittke's time with Tyler Bowen also included him and Bowen showing Chris Culliver how the standout WR from North Carolina could fit in Tech's offense and with Wittke.

"It was good. Chris Culliver and I sat in a meeting to break down some of the passing game," Wittke said.

His time with Brad Glenn also went well as he shared with us.

"It was good. We talked about the passing game and the footwork they use. We also talked more about who else we are going to try and get at VT," Wittke said.

Overall, the weekend was a productive one for Dylan Wittke as he got to bond with his fellow VT commits while also getting to do some in-person recruiting of other top VT targets.
