After going a perfect 3-0 in the month of October, the Virginia Tech Hokies (5-3, 3-1) travel to New York to take on the Syracuse Orange (5-2, 2-2) in hopes of keeping their ACC Championship Game hopes alive.
There are significant storylines for both programs coming into this game. Tech’s star running back Bhayshul Tuten suffered an injury in the closing minutes of the Hokies' 21-6 victory over Georgia Tech last week, and Syracuse’s quarterback Kyle McCord may have played the worst game of his collegiate career last week, throwing five picks and three pick-sixes in the Orange’s 41-13 loss to Pitt.
Two of the biggest stars for either team will be recovering entering this noon matchup on Saturday. Will Tuten be able to recover from injuries, and will McCord be able to bounce back after an abysmal performance against the Panthers?
If the Hokies can knock off the Orange and win their fourth straight ACC game, they will move one step closer to receiving a bid to play in Charlotte in December.
So with that said, here are my keys to the game for the Hokies against the Orange.
