Virginia Tech extended multiple offers during their Junior Day this past weekend including one to 2021 DE NaQuan Brown out of Ocean Lakes HS in Virginia Beach, VA.
The Hokies were the first school to offer Brown which was a "very exciting" moment for the 757 DE.
"It was very exiting, I was trying so hard not to hit a back flip," Brown said about receiving a Virginia Tech offer.
While that moment was obviously the best part of his visit, Brown told us that he had a "great" Junior Day visit overall with multiple things standing out about his visit.
"I got to take photos in VT's jerseys which was very cool. The food was good and what I liked about them is that the people are nice there and they will stay on you with as far as your academics go," Brown said.
Brown told us that this offer has a "big impact" on his recruitment and that he expects to receive a lot more interest because of the offer.
Currently, Brown told us that Pittsburgh, South Carolina, Virginia, and North Carolina are among the other schools showing interest in him. Additionally, Brown has visits scheduled to Pitt and UVA in the coming weeks.
Virginia Tech left quite the favorable impression on NaQuan Brown extending him his first offer while on his Junior Day visit and nearly causing the first known incident of a recruit doing a back flip after receiving a scholarship offer.
