After landing the best wide receiver at a 757 college or university in ODU's Ali Jennings, the Virginia Tech Hokies have landed another big time 757 WR transfer in Norfolk State's Da'Quan Felton.

Felton joins a strong VT transfer class that already includes the aforementioned ODU standout Ali Jennings plus promising Baylor QB Kyron Drones.
Despite Norfolk State completing fewer than 55% of their passes this past season, Felton found ways to make plays for NSU leading the passing attack with 39 receptions for 573 yards and 7 touchdowns following a 2021 season where he had 28 receptions for 492 yards and 2 touchdowns. He will have two years of eligibility remaining.
Landing a guy like Felton who has proven production is similar in some ways to landing a talented JUCO kid except the football quality is definitely a little higher at the FCS level. The 6'4'' Felton fits the outside receiver mold that Tech wanted upgrades at following the departure of Kaleb Smith to the transfer portal plus the struggles that Tech had at WR outside of Smith.
Felton definitely will have high expectations to come in and immediately earn the starting outside receiver job opposite Jennings with Da'Wain Lofton projected to be the starting slot receiver once again.
We will have more as this story develops.
