Talented 2024 DB Braydon Lee Receives a Virginia Tech Offer

Defense 1

Virginia Tech has been sending out lots of new offers not only to 2023 but also to recruits in future classes beyond 2023 including talented 2024 DB Braydon Lee.

The Hokies became the eighth of now 12 offers for Lee which also includes Ohio State, Texas A&M, Wisconsin, South Carolina, Maryland, West Virginia, Boston College, Liberty, UCONN, Kent State, and Bowling Green.

He had this to say about his reaction to receiving a Virginia Tech offer.

"I was super excited when I heard the news and definitely felt relieved," Lee said.

Lee's recruitment has taken off in recent weeks with schools like VT, Ohio State, and Texas A&M offering just recently which shouldn't come as a surprise after he had a strong sophomore season with 30 tackles, 6 interceptions with 2 returned for 2 touchdowns, 9 pass breakups, and 5 tackles for loss for Flowers HS in Maryland.

So how does this offer impact Lee's recruitment and Virginia Tech's standing in it?

"This offer is just going to open more doors for me especially from rival ACC schools," Lee said. "I could definitely see myself playing for the Hokies."

Part of the reason why Lee likely could see himself playing for the Hokies is due to the DBU tradition including the recent addition of another standout DMV player to the Hokies' roster in the 2022 class.

"It definitely impacts it a lot," Lee said on VT's DBU tradition. "Virginia Tech pulls some of the best DBs in the DMV area like Cam Johnson from St Frances so they're definitely doing something right."

Though Lee may not be close with the Hokies' 2022 standout CB signee Cam Johnson, Johnson's reputation is well-known in the DMV with his choice of the Hokies making people take notice of VT.

"I’m actually not close with him personally but he was highly recruited and is from the DMV so pretty much everyone heard about him and him choosing Virginia Tech really turned some heads," Lee said.

Virginia Tech appears poised to be a contender for talented 2024 DB Braydon Lee as the Hokies hope Lee also turns some heads and chooses VT down the road.
