Virginia Tech landed one of their top remaining 2023 high school targets today as three-star CB Misun Kelley out of South Carolina committed to the Hokies.

Kelley chose the Hokies over other offers from Louisville, East Carolina, Appalachian State, Coastal Carolina, Tulane, JMU, Old Dominion, Liberty, Marshall, Navy, and more along with interest from Oklahoma and Florida. He is ranked as a top 10 recruit in South Carolina by both 247 Sports and Rivals.
He now becomes the second South Carolina commit for the Hokies this cycle along with being the third CB commit this cycle joining Richmond area standout Cameren Fleming and Baltimore powerhouse DeMatha Catholic star Dante Lovett.
Kelley was on Tech's radar for a little bit before the Hokies decided to go all in on adding him when they offered him back in late July. From there, Tech immediately took control of his recruitment and successfully staved off other active or potential threats to land him.
With Kelley on board, Tech likely is done at DB for the 2023 class at least among high school class though it wouldn't be surprising to see VT go after another DB via the transfer portal or JUCO rankings.
