Virginia Tech's rich tradition of brothers grew today as three-star DB Jalen Stroman committed to the Hokies this evening.
Stroman becomes the third defensive back commit for the Hokies joining three-star S Jalen Hoyle and three-star CB Nykelius Johnson while also becoming the second in-state commitment alongside three-star WR Jaylen Jones.
Virginia Tech's family tradition grows with Jalen Stroman, the brother of former Greg Stroman, set to be the second younger brother of a former or current Virginia Tech player on the roster for the 2021 season joining Nick Gallo, brother of former VT OL Eric Gallo. Additionally, the Hokies are largely considered the on-paper favorites for three-star ATH Jack Hollifield, the brother of current VT LB Dax Hollifield.
Stroman's impact goes beyond the family ties as he was one of VT's top safety targets and pairs well with Jalen Hoyle as the Hokies look to add a third safety to their class at least with three-star DB Donovan McMillon among the top targets. Additionally, Stroman builds on the in-state momentum that started with Jaylen Jones, and that VT has been needing after a rough 2020 class in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
