Virginia Tech landed their first high school commitment since the arrival of OL coach Matt Moore when they landed a commitment from three-star OL Buddy Wegdam out of Woodberry Forest School. He chose the Hokies over NC State, Duke, Michigan State, and others.
So why did Wegdam choose the Hokies? Here’s what he had to say about that.
“I loved the atmosphere since I got on campus. Also love Blacksburg, the small town feeling really reminds me of home and Woodberry (Forest),” Wegdam said.
Wegdam took an official visit to Blacksburg on the weekend of May 30-June 1 that proved to be very important in his decision to choose VT.
