Virginia Tech and head coach James Franklin added another name to their rapidly growing class of 2027 on Tuesday when Dylan Latell committed to the Hokies.

The 6-foot-7, 275-pound offensive tackle from Girard, Ohio is a three-star prospect, according to both 247Sports and On3, which rate him as the no. 50 and no. 37 player in the state, respectively.

Playing for Girard High School, Latell saw action on both sides of the ball last season, racking up 57 tackles (3 TFL), 6 quarterback hurries, 2 sacks, and 1 pass breakup on defense. Additionally, he plays basketball for Girard.

Latell committed to the Hokies after his official visit to Blacksburg on May 29 and chose Virginia Tech over a list of more than 30 schools, including Indiana, Arkansas, Kentucky, Louisville, Duke, North Carolina, Pitt, and others.

He joins Kaden Buchanan and Luke Braham as the three offensive linemen currently in the Hokies' class of 2027.
