Three-Star OT Keyonte Arrington Sets Virginia Tech Official Visit

Keyonte Arrington VT Visit Spring 2023

Three-star OT Keyonte Arrington out of Norfolk was one of Ron Crook's first new offers upon his arrival as the new Virginia Tech OL coach. Since then, the Hokies have built strong relationships with Arrington and have emerged as clear contenders with the 757 OT set to be in Blacksburg this summer.

Arrington told us that he will be taking an official visit on June 23rd-25th to Virginia Tech. This is the only official visit he currently has scheduled though he added that he doesn't plan to make a decision anytime soon at the moment and is looking to take more official visits after his senior season.

Virginia Tech is also among the programs recruiting Arrington the hardest along with West Virginia, JMU, ODU, and Wake Forest who hasn't offered him at the moment.

Leading the charge for the Hokies in their pursuit of Arrington is WRs coach Fontel Mines and OL coach Ron Crook.

Arrington told us that he has a "good relationship" with Mines in part because of the "great communication" they have. He has also visited Arrington at his school's practice during the spring evaluation window as well.

He also added that he a "good relationship" with Crook and that it is "alike" to his relationship with Mines.

Arrington has quickly emerged as a priority offensive tackle target for the Hokies since the arrival of Ron Crook on VT's staff. The Hokies headline an offer list that also includes West Virginia, Missouri, Virginia, East Carolina, Temple, JMU, App State, Liberty, ODU, Marshall, Charlotte, and Elon.

Keyonte Arrington may not be planning to make a decision anytime soon, but the Hokies are positioning themselves well in his recruitment with an official visit set for next month.
