Virginia Tech's recruiting surge under James Franklin continued Sunday as the Hokies landed their fifth commitment since Franklin's arrival from three-star OT Maddox Cochrane out of Richmond, a former Wisconsin commit.
Following his decision to choose Virginia Tech, Cochrane shared with me why he chose Virginia Tech the second time around after previously choosing Wisconsin and decommitting just a couple weeks ago from the Badgers.
"I felt like I can develop there well, and we are building something really special. The mix of new coaches and previous coaches is great! They’re all good people," Cochrane said.
Cochrane visited Virginia Tech the past two weekends as well, with those visits having a clear impact on his decision.
