Virginia Tech has continued to send out some interesting offers including one to three-star offensive lineman Jaden Lindsay.
Lindsay told us that he was "really excited and happy" to receive an offer from Virginia Tech during a phone call with offensive line coach Vance Vice. That phone call with Vice also went well as a whole.
"It went great. We talked about the coaches, how they felt about me, and gave me some info about the school and the team," Lindsay said.
Lindsay also added that a Virginia Tech offer is "huge" to him and that he feels it'll also have a "big" impact on his recruitment as a whole especially with the Hokies becoming his second Power 5 offer along with Tennessee.
That shows given the fact that Lindsay lists Virginia Tech among five schools currently standing out in his recruitment along with Tennessee, East Carolina, Appalachian State, and Penn State. All five except the Nittany Lions have offered the rising three-star offensive lineman.
He had this to say about why the Hokies are among 5 standing out in his recruitment.
"They're a young program and I believe that I would fit in there," Lindsay said.
The Hokies are also among four teams that Lindsay feels is recruiting him the hardest alongside East Carolina, Appalachian State, and Coastal Carolina. Leading the charge has been offensive line coach Vance Vice for the Hokies with Vice and Lindsay building what the three-star OL describes as a "great" relationship.
Looking ahead in his recruitment, Lindsay told us that he is looking at taking visits to Virginia Tech, East Carolina, Akron, and West Virginia when the opportunity to take visits happens again. Additionally, Lindsay told us that he is planning on trimming down his list of schools on June 8th currently.
While some recruiting services like Rivals list Jaden Lindsay as an offensive tackle, Lindsay told us that the Hokies are recruiting him as an interior offensive lineman. Lindsay does appear to be one of VT's top interior OL targets alongside at least three-star in-state recruit Troy Everett and four-star Texas Jaedan Roberts.
With the offer, Virginia Tech is right in the hunt for three-star offensive lineman Jaden Lindsay and already emerging as a top contender.
