News broke earlier this afternoon that the Ivy League has cancelled the 2020 seasons for all spring sports due to the Coronavirus outbreak. Despite that news, the Virginia Tech Women's Lacrosse Game slated for a 4pm start against Brown in Providence, Rhode Island is still on at this point according to a Virginia Tech spokesperson.
The Ivy League Presidents are announcing their unanimous decision to cancel all spring athletics practice and competition through the remainder of the academic year amid further developments in the outbreak of COVID-19.

Obviously, this is a rapidly developing and complex situation in regards to the news out of the Ivy League cancelling all spring sports seasons Hokies
We have also reached out to the athletics department at Brown and have not yet received any comment in regards to the status of this game.

UPDATE
A spokesperson for Brown University Athletics has confirmed to us that today's game between #23 Virginia Tech and Brown will go on as previously planned. This will also be the final athletic competition of the spring semester for Brown.
The game is scheduled to start at 4pm and be televised on ESPN+.
