News broke earlier this afternoon that the Ivy League has cancelled the 2020 seasons for all spring sports due to the Coronavirus outbreak. Despite that news, the Virginia Tech Women's Lacrosse Game slated for a 4pm start against Brown in Providence, Rhode Island is still on at this point according to a Virginia Tech spokesperson.

We have also reached out to the athletics department at Brown and have not yet received any comment in regards to the status of this game.

We encourage all who are reading to follow all guidance provided by the CDC, WHO, and local, state, and federal governments in regards to the coronavirus outbreak.

UPDATE

A spokesperson for Brown University Athletics has confirmed to us that today's game between #23 Virginia Tech and Brown will go on as previously planned. This will also be the final athletic competition of the spring semester for Brown.
