Virginia Tech received some very good news this morning as CB Caleb Farley told Mike Barber of the Richmond Times-Dispatch that he will return for his junior season.

“I’m looking forward to coming back, finishing this the right way, going to get the Cup back & trying to win a championship at Virginia Tech.”https://t.co/D9LBxNBX5t
Farley has had a breakout 2019 season with 4 interceptions (including 1 returned for a TD), 12 pass breakups, and 20 total tackles. Because of that, Farley earned All-ACC First Team honors while also receiving some All-American consideration including a second team spot from The Athletic.
Farley returning is major news for Virginia Tech with the athletic cornerback being one of the few starters who seemed could leave early for the NFL Draft. The soon-to-be redshirt junior will enter the 2020 season as one of college football's elite cornerbacks and should likely earn some Preseason All-American honors.
Farley's 2019 season has likely put him on some NFL radars, but a strong 2020 season combined with his great size and athleticism could give him a serious chance at being a first round pick.
