Virginia Tech CB Elijah Howard Will Enter the Transfer Portal

Virginia Tech CB Elijah Howard will be entering the transfer portal as he announced earlier today on Twitter.

Howard appeared in 10 games over the past 2 seasons recording 3 tackles. After redshirting in 2021, Howard was a third-string cornerback this past season with Tech also getting him some work at RB during the fall to see if that could be a better fit for him. The Tennessee native will have three years of eligibility remaining at his next destination.

Howard's departure leaves the Hokies at 90 scholarship players per our estimates so it's safe to expect several more portal entries from VT during this window.
