This decision comes after injuries derailed Belmar's 2020 season and while he tried to see if he could make a return to the football field, he was unfortunately not able to get to a health spot to be able to responsibly do so.
Belmar finished his career playing in 40 games including 29 starts with 81 tackles, 14 tackles for loss, 9 sacks, 21 QB hurries, 1 forced fumble, and 1 fumble recovery to seal a victory in overtime against Virginia in 2018.
We will have more as this story develops.
