When Virginia Tech signed their 2025 high school class, Sheldon Robinson was seen as one of the top early playing time candidates for Virginia Tech, especially given the Hokies' need to add talented depth to their safety room.
Then VT went and brought in four new safeties via the transfer portal and Robinson was suddenly on his way to a redshirt most likely.
However, things have changed over the past few weeks with Brent Pry's dismissal plus a pair of safeties who have redshirts available to them not playing since Pry's dismissal in Quentin Reddish and Sherrod Covil Jr.
That's led to Robinson being thrown into the fire over the past couple weeks with the Woodberry Forest standout stepping up and seizing his opportunity.
