Virginia Tech has their special teams coordinator and first official offensive assistant as the Hokies announced the hiring of Louisville STs coordinator/TEs coach Stu Holt to the same special teams role and as an offensive assistant.
We've added @coachstuholt to our staff 💪

Holt has been the TEs coach and special teams coordinator for Louisville since the arrival of Scott Satterfield for the 2019 season after spending four seasons at Appalachian State from 2015-2018 prior to Louisville as the ST coordinator and RBs coach. Holt was the special teams coordinator from 2013-2014 at South Florida as well where he earned a 2013 nomination for the Broyles Award which goes to the top assistant coach in America.
This hire also continues the fact that every Pry hire both confirmed and reported has either played for Pry or coached with him as Holt was a graduate assistant at Western Carolina from 1998-1999 while Pry was the defensive line coach there.
Holt has coached all over though he has plenty of regional ties in North Carolina and the Kentucky-Tennessee region from his father being one of the most successful HS coaches in North Carolina history to lots of time spent in western NC and the Ohio Valley region at Louisville, App State, Western Kentucky, Tennessee State, and Western Carolina.
This is also a significant hire as the Hokies now have an offensive assistant on staff which should be valuable for the upcoming recruiting weekend as Tech tries to ensure all their current offensive commits sign with Holt likely being able to cast the vision that reported offensive coordinator hire Tyler Bowen has.
We will have more as this story develops.
