Virginia Tech Hosting Lots of Recruits as 2023 Spring Football Starts

Lamar Booker Jr 2022 VT Visit

Spring football may be about to get under way, but that won't be the only big thing going happening this week as Virginia Tech is set to host loads of talented recruits this week.

It all starts on the opening day of spring practice Thursday, March 16th when the Hokies a pair of big time 2025 DBs in Terrance Edwards and Major Preston who are both from VA though Preston currently goes to IMG. Tech is also hosting intriguing 2024 Richmond area DE/LB Marcellus Nash who hasn't received a Tech offer yet.

Another big visitor has also been confirmed in 2025 WR Cameron Sparks out of Chattanooga, TN. Sparks is one of the best WRs in his class and is a borderline five-star recruit for his cycle currently. Also, 2024 three-star ATH Trey Horne out of Georgia will be on campus for the opening day of spring football.

Things ramp up further on Saturday, March 18th for what will be one of the largest recruiting days of the spring in terms of the number of recruits on campus.

It all starts with three-star WR Lamar Booker Jr out of Richmond who is a clear priority WR target for the Hokies. Tech has been at the forefront of Booker's recruitment for a while being the leader at times with being a chance to push themselves farther forward.

A pair of recently offered North Carolina DBs will be there in Deuce Walker and Quentin Reddish who both look to be high up the board among DBs. 2025 NC WR Arrion Concepcion will also be on campus along with 2024 Baltimore WR Jahmari Powell-Wonson.

There are several intriguing unoffered recruits visiting on Saturday including a trio of in-state players: ATH Kemori Dixon out of Danville, DT Micah Pennix out of Lynchburg, and LB Langston White out of Northern Virginia.

Note that this list will be updated as recruits either publicly state their plans to visit whether on social media or public articles, tell us directly that they are planning to visit, or a source confirms a visitor with us. An asterisk is next to the names of recruits who currently do not hold a VT offer.
