Another Hokie enters the transfer portal. Linebacker Noah Jenkins leaves Blacksburg with three years of eligibility remaining.
The redshirt freshman only played in one game as a Hokie, against Minnesota in the 2025 Duke's Mayo Bowl in which he recorded two tackles.
Jenkins, a member of the 2024 class, came in as a three-star athlete as a wide receiver and defensive back from Highland Springs High School. The 6’2”, 205-pound athlete found himself becoming a linebacker during his time at Blacksburg.
He's the latest departure from the linebacker room after Caleb Woodson and Michael Short transferred to Alabama and TCU, respectively. The Hokies brought in former Penn State linebacker Keon Wylie, and James Franklin likely will look to bring in more depth at the position.
