Even with official visits looming, Virginia Tech has continued to be busy evaluating more recruits and extending new offers.

That included the Hokies offering three-star CB Kris Brunson out of Georgia's Brookwood HS. The Hokies are currently Brunson's fifth Power 4 offer per 247 Sports, (Wake Forest, Virginia, Mississippi State, Louisville). He has 32 total offers following this one.

He had this to say about his reaction to receiving a VT offer.

“I’m very blessed to receive an offer from them and I can’t wait to build the relationship and see where things go,” Brunson said.

The offer came via TEs coach Brent Davis who is one of the Hokies’ primary area recruiters in Georgia. He had this to say about how that conversation went as a whole.

“It was great conversation and I can’t wait to get up there,” Brunson said.

This offer wasn’t out of nowhere as Brunson told the TLP that he has been visited by VT coaches at his school previously. So with that in mind, how does this offer impact his recruitment and where VT stands in it?

"They are definitely a school I'm interested in and it's blown my recruitment up a bit more,” Brunson said.

Virginia Tech is among a couple of other ACC schools who are standing out in the recruitment of the Georgia native. The others are Clemson, Louisville, Wake Forest, and Virginia. He added this on where VT currently stands in his recruitment.

"They stand pretty high in it. I just can't wait to learn more about the program and meet the people,” Brunson said.

He also said that he only has a visit scheduled to Colorado State currently, though his recent run of Power 4 offers likely will change things.

With official visit season starting soon, it’ll be fascinating to see where Kris Brunson falls on VT’s board and if they can get him to campus for an official visit.
