A 1-3 start is not what anyone wanted at Virginia Tech entering the 2023 season. Despite that, the Hokies were just hitting ACC play and still had a chance to reset and turn their season around with their first three conference games before the bye week.

Three weeks later, the Hokies seem to have momentum after wins over the two teams who played for the 2021 ACC Championship, Pittsburgh and Wake Forest.

Now for some, this may seem like not the best time to have a bye week. However, this is a Virginia Tech team that has dealt with a lot of injuries over the first seven weeks of the season at key spots, making this an ideal opportunity to get rested up. This also presents a chance to get some depth guys more practice, especially given the issues that Tech has had with their depth that has been exposed at times by their injury issues.
