Virginia Tech stayed put in this week's AP Top 25 after going 1-1 on the week. The Hokies came in at No. 20 for the second straight poll. Tech's week started with a tough challenge as the Hokies faced then-No. 3 Virginia. They played much better than the first time they faced the Cavaliers this season, but still ended up with a 64-58 home loss. Still, it's hard to fault them for a loss to a team as good as the Hoos, and they didn't receive any punishment for the loss in this week's rankings. Tech then traveled to South Bend on Saturday for an afternoon matchup against Notre Dame. The Hokies left with a 67-59 road win, improving to 10-5 in the ACC. Other ACC teams in the top 25 this week include UVA, who moved up one spot to No. 2. Duke dropped two spots to No. 3 after its loss against North Carolina. The Tar Heels received a bump this week, moving up to No. 5 after wins over Duke and Florida State. The Seminoles fell two spots to No. 18 in this week's rankings. Louisville is on the outside looking in, receiving 90 votes this week. The Hokies have two more top 25 matchups as they close out the regular season. They'll host Duke this Tuesday in Cassell Coliseum before traveling to Tallahassee next Tuesday to take on Florida State.
