Virginia Tech will be without multiple players in the secondary for their game against #24 N.C. State including star CB Dorian Strong for the fourth-straight game.
Virginia Tech spokesman has confirmed that Cam Johnson did not travel and is out tonight.#Hokies will be without 2 of their top 5 cornerbacks in star Dorian Strong and Johnson

Strong has been dealing with a hand injury that he picked up against West Virginia stalling out what had been a very good start to the season for him. Meanwhile, Cam Johnson has seen his role grow as the season has progressed working his way up the depth chart, but Johnson went down with an injury during the end of Tech's open portion of practice this week as reported by those on site.
Those absences mean that true freshman Mansoor Delane will make his first career start across from Armani Chatman who has been a little banged up, but was warming up and appears good to go. DJ Harvey and Brion Murray appear poised to be the backups for the Hokies tonight while Elijah Howard (who has begun working at RB) and walk-on Miles Ellis were the only others warming up with the CBs tonight.
That's definitely not an ideal situation for the Hokies though N.C. State's receiving corps has taken a step back this season and no Devin Leary has unsurprisingly weakened their passing attack. However, Tech will need Delane and Chatman to step up against a still solid WR corps led by talented veteran Thayer Thomas.
We will have more as this story develops.
