Jorden McDonald twins leave Virginia Tech after spending the past four seasons at VT. He has only one year of eligibility remaining.
McDonald played in 32 games and had 11 tackles including 2.5 for loss including 1.5 sacks. He was primarily the fifth or sixth DE on the depth chart during the 2023 and 2024 seasons.
The departure of the McDonald twins leaves the Hokies with 105 players for next season, right at the 105-man roster limit.
McDonald was projected to be outside of the defensive end rotation and will look for a significant role elsewhere, most likely at a Group of 5 or FCS program.
