The #25 jersey has been a welcome new tradition to show respect back to the Frank Beamer era that has not only been great for fans but also has seemed to give one of Justin Fuente’s players a little bit of extra energy every week. The Hokies have had a diverse group of players wear the jerseys from special teams specialists to backups to a few defensive starters.
For the second straight week, Justin Fuente has given the #25 jersey to a starting defensive back.

Adonis Alexander will wear the #25 jersey against Georgia Tech in what should be his first official start of the season with Greg Stroman very unlikely to play Saturday due to his ankle sprain. Alexander has played a decent amount on special teams and has proven to be an asset for the Hokies on that side of the ball in what has been quite a good year for Virginia Tech on special teams under new special teams coordinator James Shibest.
Congrats to Adonis Alexander on being given the #25 jersey this week.
