Terrell Edmunds Will Wear the #25 Jersey Against Arkansas

Justin Fuente and the Virginia Tech Hokies have started a new tradition this year to honor Frank Beamer by giving out his #25 jersey to the "special teams player of the week". The jersey has become a major honor that has galvanized players and fans with players wearing the #25 jersey seeming to make that player step his game up and make a big play. Today, Fuente announced who would receive the #25 jersey for the final time and it was another great selection. https://twitter.com/CoachFuente/status/813814997314924544 Rover Terrell Edmunds will wear the #25 jersey on Thursday in the Belk Bowl against Arkansas. The jersey change won't be as easily noticed as other ones due to how Edmunds usually wears #22, but there is no doubt that Edmunds is someone who can make some big plays that will draw in fans' attentions. Terrell Edmunds made the move from cornerback to rover this offseason and has excelled this season with ESPN even having him on their All-ACC Team with Edmunds having 84 tackles, 3 interceptions, 2.5 tackles for loss, 3 pass breakups, and 1 fumble recovery while making a big impact not only on defense but also on special teams. Edmunds is a great choice to receive the #25 jersey as an emerging leader on this defense that will be ready to step up as one of the defensive leaders with Chuck Clark, Woody Baron, Ken Ekanem, and Nigel Williams all leaving after this season.
