[Credit: Harley Taylor][/caption]The Virginia Tech Hokies have gained four commits in the past four days, all on the defensive side of the ball including two defensive backs in Devon Hunter and Bryce Watts. With the Hokies set to take a larger than normal class, there are definitely a few players who are leaving the program to transfer elsewhere or just end their football careers and today, news broke about a defensive back that's on the way out.

Safety Jahque Alleyne has decided to leave the Virginia Tech football team according to Andy Bitter of the Roanoke Times. Bitter's tweet doesn't say whether Alleyne will transfer after this semester to play football elsewhere though that definitely seems like a possibility.
Alleyne played on special teams a lot as a freshman but saw his playing time decrease significantly this season while also never being really able to climb the depth chart. On top of that, Alleyne seems stuck behind younger safeties including Reggie Floyd while Devon Hunter is expected to at least play as a freshman with there being a good chance that he ends up starting next fall.
We wish Jahque Alleyne the best in his future endeavors away from the Virginia Tech football team.
