Virginia Tech has already sent out a fair amount of offers to 2020 recruits in the 757 including one to Deep Creek HS standout Gaberiel Fuster. The 2020 inside linebacker recently caught up with us about his recruitment after standing out at the 2018 Appalachia Prep Combine recently.
Gaberiel Fuster told us that Virginia Tech and Florida Atlantic, his two offers, are currently standing out in his recruitment.
“Bud Foster is the best. His resume speaks for itself,” Fuster told us on why the Hokies are standing out in his recruitment.
Fuster also told us that Virginia Tech is recruiting him the hardest at this point. Duke, UNC, Rutgers, UCF, South Florida, and James Madison are among the schools showing Fuster the most interest that haven’t offered him while Clemson is beginning to show him more interest.
Fuster did tell us that he is hoping to make a visit to Blacksburg sometime this month. Fuster is also planning to participate in camps at Clemson, UNC, South Carolina, and Duke next month.
Earlier this spring, Fuster made a trip down to the Sunshine State to visit Miami, UCF, USF, and Florida Atlantic. He also made spring stops at Rutgers and North Carolina.
Right now, VT has emerged as the early frontrunner, but this summer could have a big impact especially if he sees his offer list grow significantly. For now though, the Hokies are in a good spot early on in Fuster’s recruitment.
