Virginia Tech has made a lot of noise on the recruiting trail this past week headlined by the commitment of four-star DB Cam’Ron Kelly. In addition, the Hokies have been on the road for satellite camps and have sent out several new offers including ones to four-star ATH Jaden Payoute and three-star TE Kyle Bilodeau.
However, the Hokies have also made the cut for a few top targets. With that said, here’s a recap of three targets that VT made the cut for.
Virginia Tech Makes the Final 6 for Four-Star WR Tayvion Robinson
Tayvion Robinson has emerged as one of Virginia Tech’s top offensive targets and unsurprisingly, the four-star WR included the Hokies in his final 6.

Ohio State, Nebraska, Maryland, South Carolina, and Virginia made the cut for Robinson alongside the Hokies. The fact that Robinson is calling this his “final 6” is a clear indication that the 757 star is nearing a decision sometime over the summer.
Throughout 2018, Robinson has been a top priority for the Hokies, and VT continues to be the on-paper favorite for the 757 receiver. The Terps appear to be the biggest threat to the Hokies currently, but Virginia Tech is in a very good spot with the four-star WR, and I continue to stand by my prediction of Robinson to VT.
Virginia Tech has momentum in the 757 after the commitment of Cam’Ron Kelly this past week. The Hokies have some great opportunities to build more momentum in the Tidewater with VT being in great shape for Robinson and three-star DL Adarious Jones.
Virginia Tech Makes the Top 5 for Four-Star DL Savion Jackson
The Hokies have made Savion Jackson one of their top priorities on the defensive line and earlier this week, the four-star DE included VT in his top 5.

Jackson’s top 5 had a regional flair with the talented defensive lineman including the Hokies, Clemson, South Carolina, NC State, and North Carolina in his top 5. Jackson has the versatility and size to play either defensive end or defensive tackle at the collegiate level.
South Carolina is considered the heavy favorite for Jackson after the four-star defensive lineman enjoyed an official visit to Columbia earlier this month. However, the Hokies will continue to push for Jackson to the end and as we saw with Cam’Ron Kelly earlier this week, things can change quickly on the recruiting trail.
Virginia Tech Makes the Top 5 for OL William Pritchard
Earlier this week, VT was one of a few schools to offer Richmond offensive lineman William Pritchard. Yesterday, Pritchard revealed his top 5 after taking visits to Blacksburg and Tennessee.

The Hokies made the cut for Pritchard along with Tennessee, Illinois, Syracuse, and James Madison. Pritchard previously told us that he plans to make a decision June 1st with an Illinois official visit coming next week and a Syracuse official likely before his decision.
For the Hokies, it was critical for them to get him to campus as they were able to earlier today. Given how quickly Pritchard’s recruitment has exploded, it’s hard to tell how this one will play out over the next few weeks. For now though, the Hokies are a serious contender within his top 5.
