Primetime Kickoff Announced For #13 Virginia Tech at Duke

While much of the ACC has struggled, a few under-the-radar teams are starting to earn some respect with upcoming Virginia Tech opponent Duke being one of those teams. As a result, the early ACC Coastal showdown will be in primetime. https://twitter.com/AndyBitterVT/status/1041717635023560705 Kickoff will be at 7pm with the game being shown on either ESPN2 or ESPNU (network designation will be determined after this upcoming week's games). Duke, who was third in the receiving votes category of this week's AP top 25, has started the season strong with three solid wins. Those wins consist of Army, Northwestern and Baylor, all of which came by 13 or more points. If it weren't for Mike Krzyzewski or "Skip" Trey Wilson, David Cutcliffe would be considered the best coach in the town of Durham. Virginia Tech also surprised many after dominating Florida State. The Hokies returned just two starters from the 2017 defense, yet the 2018 defense arguably looks better thus far. The Hokies are currently ranked 10th in the coaches poll, the highest ranking Tech has received under Justin Fuente, along with 13th in the AP top 25. This will be an important game in the ACC Coastal, and it will be important for Virginia Tech to not look ahead to a currently eighth-ranked Notre Dame.
