2020 Four-Star WR Ray Grier Will Visit Virginia Tech for Miami Game

Ray Grier 2 2018 Barbecue
Ray Grier has emerged as one of Virginia Tech's top wide receiver targets in the 2020 class. Early on, the Hokies have gained plenty of momentum in their pursuit of the four-star WR from North Carolina and will have a chance to build on that this upcoming weekend. Grier told us that he will be visiting Virginia Tech for their game against Miami. This will be Grier's first visit to Blacksburg during the 2018 season after already taking visits to Tennessee, South Carolina, NC State, and North Carolina earlier this fall. The four-star WR doesn't have a leader in his recruitment, but he told us that the Hokies, South Carolina, and West Virginia are among those recruiting him the hardest who have offered him in addition to heavy interest shown by Notre Dame and Purdue. Currently, Grier doesn't have any specific timeline for cutting down his list or making his decision with him being likely to receive more offers in the coming weeks as football season nears its conclusion. When Grier does make his collegiate decision, one of the key factors will be the quality of education. "The most important thing I’m looking for is the education part of school. I’m not going to a particular school just to play football. I have to find a school with a great graduation rate," Grier said. In addition to the other positives VT has going for them so far in Grier's recruitment, the Hokies' reputation for having an impressive graduation rate for their players would appear to fit the bill of what Grier is looking for. Ray Grier continues to be a top WR target for the Hokies in 2020 with VT having a great opportunity to make a move in his recruitment with this weekend's visit.
