Redshirt junior running back Raheem Blackshear posed in the uniform for the Virginia Tech Football social media release. Last week, Blackshear led all Hokies in receiving yards with 66 in total from the three catches made on the night in the win against formerly #10 North Carolina.
On the ground, he carried the ball 11 times for 16 yards for a total of 82 yards of offense, the most among the RBs, WRs, and TEs in the season opener. His performance earned him TLP Offensive Hokie of the Game honors.
The uniform surely lives up to the theme on Saturday, as the Hokies will be wearing a white jersey and white pants, along with a while helmet.
Looking into the numbering and lettering of the uniform for Saturday’s game, the Hokies will be wearing maroon, which gives an unique look compared to other Hokie uniforms. On the helmet, the Virginia Tech logo will also hold a maroon color.
The Hokies are looking to get back on the right side of a result during a “White Out” contest after losing to Duke 45-10 on Sept. 27th, 2019 in the most recent game with the all-white theme.
