Virginia Tech has been sending out plenty of 2022 and 2023 offers in recent weeks including one to 2022 four-star IMG Academy DB Myles Rowser.

Rowser had this to say about his reaction to receiving an offer from Virginia Tech.

"Honored, I opened my recruitment for this reason, to build relationships with more schools, and I'm really excited because of the conference. I’ve got a lot of Big 10 offers and want to consider all conferences. Hoping the season is a go but if not at least it’s good to know that I’m on Coach (Ryan) Smith’s radar and a free education at VT may be an option," Rowser said.

Unsurprisingly, Rowser received the offer from VT CBs coach Ryan Smith, making it clear that he was on Tech's defensive back radar for the 2022 class. Tech is also recruiting him as a defensive back with the versatility to play either cornerback or safety depending on his development in the coming years.

Rowser's conversation with Ryan Smith went well as a whole as he told us.

"It went really well. I shared what I knew about the school, and he let me know about expectations of me as a student and player. I definitely want to visit when the dead period ends," Rowser said.

For Rowser, things remain unsurprisingly wide open, but it's pretty clear that receiving a Hokies' offer has left the IMG Academy defensive back wanting to visit Blacksburg.

That's a good sign that the Hokies can contend for the talented Myles Rowser who had an impressive sophomore season with 1 interceptions and 9 pass breakups plus 75 tackles including 13 for loss, a great sign of a dominant defensive back who teams didn't want to throw towards.

His dominance has also helped him build up an impressive offer list that also includes Florida, Michigan, Penn State, Tennessee, Florida State, Minnesota, Nebraska, Michigan State, Kentucky, West Virginia, and many more. Given that and the fact that just about every program recruits IMG, this should be a national recruiting battle with his Michigan roots making teams like the Wolverines, Nittany Lions, and Spartans more serious threats.

Virginia Tech has jumped right in the hunt for Myles Rowser after offering him with getting him on campus being Tech's next target in their pursuit of the 2022 four-star defensive back.
