So what did Grover do while on his visit?

"When we arrived, we were fed well. Then we walked through the tunnel and I was right next to the tunnel for Enter Sandman. I ended with watching the game," Grover said.

He also got to spend time with offensive coordinator/TEs Tyler Bowen and offensive analyst Jeff Carpenter having this to say about his conversation and time with Bowen.

"It was great to catch up with him in person and continue to build our relationship," Grover said.

He also added this on his time with Jeff Carpenter.

"It was good to see him again after seeing him at the spring practice. We got to catch up and he told me how I was at the top of there list in the class of 2024," Grover said.

So how did this visit impact his recruitment and where VT stands in it?

"This had a huge impact seeing the atmosphere and how much these fans love there football," Grover said. "It’s safe to say me and VT's relationship is far from over."

The Hokies are also among a few teams currently standing out for him.

"As of right now; Virginia Tech, Kentucky, Cincinnati, and Michigan State stand out, but my recruitment is far from over," Grover said.

He had this to say about why the Hokies are currently standing out for him.

"The people at the Virginia Tech love there football and show it. As well as the coaching staff shows a lot of promise and they have big plans for their TEs," Grover said.

Grover also got to see a tight end lead Tech's receiving corps on the night in Connor Blumrick which was validating to what Tech's message has been to Grover about tight ends having a large role in the VT offense.

"It’s extremely impressive and exciting to see. It’s not everyday when you see the tight end position featured like that," Grover said.

Virginia Tech is right at the forefront of Gavin Grover's recruitment with the Hokies impressing him on his visit this weekend.
