No. 57 pound-for-pound prospect in the 2025 class. 132-pounder is 39-0 in his high school career and is ranked as a four star on https://t.co/E7ctp1Vtq2. Another nice add for VT. #Hokies pic.twitter.com/Jyr8DTBCZZ
Gorman is the second top 60 wrestler in the 2025 class to commit to the Hokies joining Ryan Burton. Both Gorman and Burton also visited Virginia Tech on the last weekend of September for VT Football's 38-21 primetime victory over Pittsburgh.
Gorman chose the Hokies over a host of big time interest including from NC State, Iowa State, North Carolina, Pittsburgh, Oklahoma, Virginia, Duke, and others. Gorman projects to be a 141 for the Hokies from what we've heard and could be the long-term heir for Tom Crook. He is currently ranked as the 57th best overall wrestler in the 2025 class by FloWrestling.
The Southeast continues to be a growing region for wrestling recruiting with the Buford, GA standout Gorman joining a VT program that currently has some big Southeast stars including All-American Caleb Henson, a Georgia native, and Floridian starter Tom Crook.
