Following the dismissal of Brent Pry and the special 30-day transfer portal window that opened for Virginia Tech players, many have wondered whether the Hokies will see any players choose to leave and enter the transfer portal. It didn't take long for that to become a non-zero number as junior CB Dante Lovett decided to enter the transfer portal on Monday.
Lovett's decision to transfer likely has plenty wondering now whether he will be the only player to decide to leave or not. However, his decision shows the type of player that is most vulnerable to leaving at this point in the season.
There are a three things about Lovett that make him stand out as a player who on paper would have the greatest likelihood of transferring at this point in the season, and which several other Hokies have in common with him.
