Virginia Tech has gained several new commitments over the past month including one from four-star OT Junior Saunders out of Woodberry Forest, VA most notably. Saunders is ranked on average among the top 10 recruits in Virginia in the Class of 2027 with ESPN ranking him fourth in VA and 203rd overall nationally, and 247 Sports ranking him sixth in VA.
His commitment came on a day where VT gained a trio of commitments from four-star recruits in Saunders, four-star WR Cam Wade, and four-star CB Bryce Woods.
So why did Saunders choose the Hokies? Here's what he had to say about why.
"Because of the connection with the staff, teammates, and it felt like home," Saunders said.
His official visit earlier this month to VT was a significant factor in his decision to commit to the Hokies as he shared.
