Virginia Tech’s second official visit weekend went quite well with four-star CB Bryce Woods from College Park, GA committing to the Hokies.
The 6’2’’, 175-pound Woods is the second commit from this past weekend’s visitors joining four-star WR Cam Wade. He is the third cornerback commit for the Hokies in the 2027 class along with four-star Chase Johnson from Georgia and three-star Austin Barrett from New Jersey. He is also the Hokies’ third commit from Georgia along with Johnson and three-star RB Stanley Smart.
This is a very impressive recruiting victory for the Hokies as Ohio State was a player in his recruitment and slated to host him on an official visit next weekend. While the Buckeyes may not have had him as high on the board as VT did, this is still impressive to not have to even make it through that visit let alone the numerous other strong offers that Woods holds. This commitment also comes after he took an official visit to Mississippi State last weekend.
CBs coach Nick Perry has proven to be a very good recruiter with VT assembling an impressive cornerback class.
With Woods on board, it’s hard to imagine VT taking a fourth true cornerback in this class.
