Virginia Tech has made another big splash on the recruiting trail landing a commitment from four-star WR Chanz Wiggins out of King George, VA.
Wiggins chose the Hokies over Maryland and Duke where he also took official visits along with other offers from Penn State, Pittsburgh, North Carolina, UVA, West Virginia, and more.
He is the fourth in-state recruit to choose the Hokies joining four-star DE Gerard Johnson, three-star CB Joshua Clarke, and three-star DB Noah Jenkins.
This is another big time pickup for the Hokies with Wiggins being among the top 10 recruits in this class. Add in Gerard Johnson and this is the first time that Tech has landed multiple top 11 in-state recruits since the 2019 class where the Hokies landed WRs Jaden Payoute and Tayvion Robinson.
WRs coach Fontel Mines has proven to very an ace recruiter for the Hokies with this being one of his biggest recruiting victories to date. Shawn Quinn has also taken on a large role in recruiting the Fredericksburg and deserves plenty of credit as well as he continues to prove to be a relentless recruiter.
With Wiggins on board, the Hokies will look to add to him with four-star 757 WR Keylen Adams next Thursday along with three-star WR Mekhai White, the teammate of Wiggins and a fellow top 10 VA recruit.
