Virginia Tech Offense vs. Cal Defense

Virginia Tech's offense has been one of the most productive units in the ACC through five games, averaging 41.2 points per contest.

Quarterback Ethan Grunkemeyer has been central to that success, completing 74% of his passes for 1,446 yards and 11 touchdowns entering Saturday.

The Penn State transfer has demonstrated an ability to distribute the football to several different weapons, giving the Hokies one of the more versatile passing attacks in the conference.

Despite throwing two interceptions, along with a fumble against Pitt, Grunkemeyer still finished with 434 passing yards and accounted for four touchdowns.

His performance illustrated both the potential of Virginia Tech's offense and the importance of protecting the football.

The Hokies have several dangerous receiving threats, including Que'Sean Brown, Luke Reynolds and Ayden Greene, while running backs Jeff Overton Jr. and Marcellous provide another dimension to the offense.
